Each client’s property receives a review by an independent MAI appraiser hired by PPTC. After this review, the client receives a recommendation as to whether or not the property’s tax value should be appealed. There is no cost or obligation to the client for this review. If the client chooses to have the property’s value appealed, PPTC works on a contingency basis, paying for all the out of pocket costs of the appeal. The client only receives a bill for a percentage of the tax savings if the appeal is successful. Because of PPTC’s thorough initial review and the use of the appraiser’s services, a high percentage of these appeals result in a large reduction in the client’s property tax bill.
